In the early hours of August 1, a significant fire broke out at Phuc Tien fishing port in Dam Ha, Quang Ninh, resulting in the complete destruction of 19 fishing boats. The blaze was reported to have started around 3:37 AM, prompting immediate action from local authorities.

The Dam Ha People's Committee quickly mobilized police, military, and local security forces to assist in firefighting and rescue efforts. The Quang Ninh Provincial Fire and Rescue Team was also dispatched to help control the situation.

After more than an hour of intense firefighting efforts, the flames were completely extinguished by approximately 4:45 AM. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries or fatalities; however, the fire resulted in significant property damage, with an estimated loss of nearly 2.6 billion VND.

Among the destroyed vessels, 17 belonged to local residents, while two were official boats used by the local police and the Department of Construction, Agriculture, and Environment of Dam Ha. The local government is currently collaborating with relevant authorities to investigate the cause of the fire and will take necessary actions as per regulations.
