Which Vietnamese destinations are in the top 7 most popular in the world in 2024?

Where will tourists go in 2024? A survey by the world's leading reputable travel consulting site, TripAdvisor, showed the top 7 most popular destinations in 2024.

The American travel newspaper Travel Off Path reported the survey.

1. Cuba

Cuba is the number one trending destination for the new year. However, this beautiful destination can be challenging to visit.

Cuba was almost closed to Americans for over half a century before tourism resumed in 2015. However, the country closed its doors to tourists again in 2020, and many flights from the US arrived. Cuba will only be restored in 2023.

There are a few things travelers need to pay special attention to before traveling to Cuba, making traveling to the country more difficult than visiting many other destinations but completely worth it.

From colorful Havana and the beaches of Varadero to the countryside of Viñales, this is a stunning country that should have a place on everyone's bucket list.

2. Hoi An

Vietnam is becoming increasingly popular among American tourists thanks to its breathtaking natural beauty, vibrant culture, delicious food, affordable prices, and amazing cities.

Hoi An is one of the best tourist cities in Vietnam, famous for its well-preserved old town, exceptional cuisine and unique blend of many cultural influences, from Japanese to French.

Hoi An is also a heritage city recognized by UNESCO, with interwoven rivers and golden sand beaches filled with sunlight. From Hoi An, visitors can also easily reach two other UNESCO heritage sites, My Son Sanctuary and the ancient capital of Hue.

3. Mauritius

If you're looking for a tropical getaway in 2024, forget the Caribbean and Mediterranean.

Mauritius is always one of the most attractive beach destinations of the year. While this East African island nation remains a hidden gem, it won't be around for that long.

Mauritius boasts stunning beaches, splendid resorts, and lush natural beauty and is a surprisingly great destination for digital nomads.

4. Siem Reap

Another hot spot in Southeast Asia that is increasingly popular with tourists is Siem Reap, Cambodia. Like neighboring Vietnam, Cambodia is a destination of diverse beauty, culture and history.

Siem Reap is the city best known for being the gateway to Angkor Wat, a massive and ancient temple complex over 900 years old.

In addition to being a great destination, Siem Reap is one of the cheapest places to visit this winter so that American travelers will get much value for their money.

5. Chiang Mai

Another Southeast Asian destination on this list is Chiang Mai, Thailand. Thailand is known for many things, including its pristine beaches and islands and its vibrant capital, Bangkok, day and night.

Chiang Mai is a small city in the country's northern mountains, where tourists can visit ancient temples and sample delicious and cheap street food. From here, visitors can also take motorbike tours around northern Thailand, visiting destinations such as the charming town of Pai.

Grand Cayman, the largest island of the Cayman Islands, is the perfect destination for a winter beach vacation in the Caribbean next year.

The island is known as one of the best places in the Caribbean for scuba diving, with countless great dive sites to explore. This is also where there are beautiful beaches, such as the famous Bay Dem beach.

7. Fes

Finally, Fes is one of the most trending destinations in the world in 2024. Despite the effects of the previous devastating earthquake, it is one of the best places to visit in Morocco.

Fes, located in the country's northeast, is hailed as Morocco's cultural capital, home to its impressive walled medina, vibrant souks and medieval architecture.
