One of the major holidays in the Buddhist calendar that monks, nuns and Buddhists across the country look forward to at the end of the year is Amitabha Buddha's Resurrection Ceremony, usually held on the 17th day of the 11th lunar month to commemorate the immeasurable merits of Amitabha Buddha.

This year, the festival falls on December 29 of the solar calendar, which is also why Buddhists especially choose Sa Pa for their New Year's holiday to have unique experiences here and participate. An important Buddhist holiday at the sacred peak.

At the Fansipan spiritual complex, the Buddha Amitabha Buddha Ceremony will be solemnly held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on December 29, with many meaningful activities such as a thousand-flower offering program to the Buddha and a Dharma talk on the theme of virtue.
