Tragic Fire in Hanoi Claims Two Lives
A fire in a row house in Hanoi has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left one person severely

A tragic incident occurred in the Van Phu urban area of Hanoi on July 3, where a fire claimed the lives of two individuals. The fire started in a four-story house at approximately 1:29 PM, prompting an immediate response from local authorities.
Upon receiving the alarm, the Hanoi Fire Department dispatched five fire trucks, one ladder truck, and two command vehicles, along with 45 firefighters from various units. They arrived on the scene shortly after 1:35 PM and found that the fire had been raging for about 15 minutes, primarily affecting the first floor of the building, which spans approximately 70 square meters.
At the time of the fire, two people were trapped inside. Local residents and fire safety volunteers attempted to extinguish the flames but were hindered by the rapid spread of fire and thick smoke. Firefighters were directed to use breathing apparatus and specialized equipment to access the upper floors for search and rescue operations.
Efforts to control the blaze included deploying hoses from the ladder truck to spray water onto the second and third floors, effectively preventing the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings. By around 2:00 PM, the fire was largely under control, and it was completely extinguished by 2:07 PM.
During the search and rescue operation, firefighters discovered the two victims, who were subsequently handed over to medical personnel. The Hanoi Police are currently investigating the incident to determine the identities of the victims and the cause of the fire, with the aim of taking appropriate legal action.
