Hanoi books over VND1 trillion in tourism revenue at Tet
HCMC – The capital city of Hanoi earned more than VND1 trillion from tourism services during the Lunar New Year holiday (Tet) from January 21 to 26, according to the municipal Department of Tourism.

The city attracted 332,000 tourists during the national holiday, including 32,000 coming from abroad.

The average occupancy at one- to five-star hotels in the city reached 40%. International visitors were mainly from South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Canada and Thailand. Among the 300,000 domestic visitors, Hanoi residents accounted for the majority.

The most visited destinations in the city were the Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam and Huong Pagoda, with around 80,000 visitors each, followed by the Thang Long Imperial Citadel and the Co Loa Ancient Citadel.

The capital city saw an upsurge in tourist arrivals during this Tet holiday thanks to favorable weather conditions and a variety of events and activities to ring in the lunar new year at tourist sites in the city, said the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
