Nguyễn Đức Anh Sentenced to Death for Triple Homicide in Đồng Nai

The People's Court of Đồng Nai has handed down a death sentence to Nguyễn Đức Anh for his involvement in the tragic murder of three people in Bình Minh. In addition to the death penalty for murder, he received a six-year prison term for using a military weapon, resulting in a total sentence of death. The court also ordered him to pay over 1.1 billion VND in damages to the victims' families.

During the trial, Nguyễn Đức Anh appeared calm as the verdict was read. The lawyer representing the victims argued for the harshest possible punishment, emphasizing the heinous nature of the crime, which resulted in the loss of innocent lives, including two young children who were asleep at the time of the attack.

Initially, Nguyễn Đức Anh claimed that he had been attacked first by one of the victims, but later changed his testimony, admitting to initiating the attack. The court heard that he had been in a relationship with a 17-year-old girl, who had broken up with him prior to the incident. Feeling deceived, he sought revenge.

On September 3, 2026, after failing to enter the home of his ex-girlfriend, he broke into the house of another neighbor, where he attacked the male victim. The victim sustained severe injuries while trying to defend himself, but Nguyễn Đức Anh continued the assault, ultimately leading to the deaths of the victim's wife and two children.

Law enforcement apprehended Nguyễn Đức Anh at the scene shortly after the crime was committed. The case has raised significant public concern and highlights the severe consequences of violent crime in society.
