The Khánh Hòa Provincial Police have issued a notice searching for Nguyễn Đức Bảo, born in 1982, from Tân Định commune, as part of an investigation into a fraud case involving the misappropriation of funds.

According to reports, in 2023, several individuals expressed interest in bidding for the management of Dinh Market in Ninh Hòa. Bảo allegedly assured these individuals that he could help them win the tender and manage the market for six months. In return, he requested a total payment of 660 million VND.

Trusting Bảo’s claims, the victims transferred the money to him. However, after receiving the funds, Bảo failed to submit the bidding documents to the Ninh Hòa Economic Department as agreed. When the victims demanded a refund, he did not comply, prompting them to report the incident to the police.

On May 29, 2024, the Ninh Hòa Police began investigating the case. During the investigation, it was discovered that Bảo was no longer present in the locality, and his current whereabouts remain unknown.

The Khánh Hòa Provincial Police are urging anyone with information about Bảo’s location or any related details to come forward to assist in the investigation. Authorities have emphasized the importance of timely and accurate information from the public to aid in resolving this case.

The investigation is ongoing as police continue to seek clarity on the matter and hold those responsible accountable.
