On July 27, 2026, the Hai Phong Police Department announced the successful arrest of Pham Ngoc Anh, a suspect linked to a nationwide fraud case, immediately after he landed at Cat Bi International Airport. This operation was carried out in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Agency of Ha Tinh province.
Prior to the arrest, the Ha Tinh police had been investigating reports of fraudulent activities across the country. Their inquiries led them to identify Pham Ngoc Anh, born in 1987 and residing in Nhan Bau village, Ha Dong commune, Hai Phong, as a key figure in the case.
Through diligent investigative work, authorities discovered that Pham Ngoc Anh had purchased a plane ticket from Ho Chi Minh City to Hai Phong. Upon receiving this information, the Ha Tinh police contacted the Immigration Management Department of Hai Phong to coordinate the arrest.
Following the alert, the leadership of the Immigration Management Department directed the Airport Security Team to implement necessary measures and deploy personnel to successfully apprehend the suspect. Pham Ngoc Anh was then handed over to the Ha Tinh police for further legal processing.
