Cold Front Expected to Hit Northern Vietnam, Temperatures to Drop
A strong cold front is forecasted to arrive in Northern Vietnam, bringing temperatures down by 8-10 degrees

Hanoi is bracing for rain and thunderstorms beginning on October 4, as cold air moves into the region. The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has indicated that the city will experience significant cloud cover, with localized heavy rainfall expected.
According to the forecast, the cold air will start affecting Hanoi around the evening of October 4, bringing rain and thunderstorms that may include strong winds and lightning. This weather pattern is anticipated to continue into the early hours of October 5, when temperatures are expected to drop significantly.
On October 3, Hanoi experienced hot weather during the day with temperatures reaching up to 28.4 degrees Celsius. However, the arrival of cold air will shift conditions dramatically. The lowest temperatures during this cold spell are projected to range from 19 to 21 degrees Celsius.
Local authorities have warned that the thunderstorms could lead to hazards such as flash floods, landslides, and damage to agricultural production, infrastructure, and outdoor activities. Residents are advised to take precautions against potential severe weather conditions.
The detailed temperature forecast for specific areas in Hanoi indicates that districts such as Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, and Thanh Xuan may see minimum temperatures around 22 to 24 degrees Celsius, while regions like Soc Son and Me Linh could experience slightly lower temperatures.
As the cold front approaches, citizens are encouraged to stay updated on weather alerts and prepare for the changing conditions.
