Cold Weather Expected in Northern Vietnam Starting October 5
Northern Vietnam, including Hanoi, is set to experience a significant drop in temperature starting October

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has announced that a strong cold front will impact the northeastern region of Vietnam starting the evening of October 4. As a result, temperatures in the Northeast and Thanh Hoa are expected to plummet significantly.
On October 3, the weather in Northern Vietnam and areas from Thanh Hoa to Hue was characterized by sunny conditions, with some regions experiencing heat. However, this will change as the cold front brings rain to various locations in the North and Central regions.
Forecasters predict that from the night of October 4, the northeastern region and Thanh Hoa will experience a drop in temperature, with mountainous areas potentially seeing temperatures as low as 14-17 degrees Celsius. The general temperature range in the North and Thanh Hoa is expected to be between 19-22 degrees Celsius.
In Hanoi, rain, including moderate showers and thunderstorms, is expected from the night of October 4 into the morning of October 5. The city will transition to cooler weather as the cold front moves in. The meteorological agency warns of heavy rain in the northern region, with localized areas experiencing very heavy downpours.
Additionally, from the evening of October 4 to October 6, the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue will also see moderate rain and thunderstorms, with some areas facing very heavy rainfall. The forecast indicates that by early morning on October 5, winds in the Gulf of Tonkin will shift to the northeast, reaching levels of 6 to 7, with gusts up to 8-9, leading to rough seas.
