The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has announced that a cold front will impact Northern Vietnam, beginning in the late afternoon and evening of October 4. This weather change will first affect the Northeast region and then spread to other areas in the North, including Thanh Hoa to Hue, bringing rain and a noticeable drop in temperature.
As of the morning of October 2, the meteorological agency reported that a cold air mass was moving towards the northern region of the country. Some areas have already experienced light rain and thunderstorms. The forecast indicates that from the evening of October 4, the Northeast and Thanh Hoa will see cooler weather, with mountainous regions experiencing even colder temperatures.
The expected low temperatures for the North and Thanh Hoa will generally range from 19 to 22 degrees Celsius, while mountainous areas may drop to between 14 and 17 degrees Celsius. In Hanoi, rain, moderate rain, and thunderstorms are anticipated from the evening of October 4 through the morning of October 5, with some areas experiencing heavy rainfall.
The meteorological agency has issued warnings for the period from October 4 to the morning of October 5, indicating that the North will see rain, moderate rain, and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing very heavy rainfall. From the evening of October 4 to October 6, the area from Thanh Hoa to Hue will also be affected by moderate rain and thunderstorms, with isolated areas facing heavy downpours.
Additionally, it is forecasted that from early morning on October 5, the northeastern Gulf of Tonkin will experience increased winds, reaching levels 6 to 7, with gusts of 8-9, leading to rough seas. Starting October 6, these strong winds are expected to extend to the North East Sea, including the Paracel Islands.
