Nguyen Xuan Hoang, a shop owner in Ninh Binh, has been charged for selling over 700 counterfeit luxury

The chairman of Ha Bac Fertilizer Company, L.Q.N., has been arrested by the Bac Ninh Provincial Police for his involvement in the production and sale of counterfeit fertilizers. This operation is part of a broader initiative to combat counterfeit goods and protect intellectual property rights.
On July 21, the Bac Ninh Police announced that they had initiated legal proceedings against L.Q.N., who resides in Bac Giang Ward, Bac Ninh Province. The investigation revealed that the company was operating without the necessary permits for the production and packaging of fertilizers. During a search of the premises, authorities confiscated 65 tons of counterfeit fertilizer, along with machinery, raw materials, and related documents, all valued at over 1 billion VND.
Prior to the arrest, the Economic Police Department of Bac Ninh had identified suspicious activities at Ha Bac Fertilizer Company, located at 2 Pham Lieu Street, Bac Giang Ward. The company had allegedly signed a contract with B.O. Company, located in Gia Lam, Hanoi, to package its URÊ 46HBF fertilizer products. However, investigators found that this contract was merely a facade, as the fertilizers were actually produced and packaged at the Ha Bac facility in Bac Ninh, contrary to the information presented on the packaging.
This fraudulent activity misled consumers regarding the origin and packaging of the products, undermining market transparency in the agricultural materials sector. The Bac Ninh Police are continuing to expand the investigation to clarify the responsibilities of other organizations and individuals involved in this case, ensuring appropriate legal action is taken.
