A tragic incident occurred on July 18 at the Dabaco pig farm in Thanh Hoa, resulting in the deaths of three workers and injuries to four others. The accident happened around 5:30 PM when a worker, identified as B.V.V., was repairing the electrical system near a sewage pit and was electrocuted, falling into the pit and showing signs of suffocation.

Upon witnessing the incident, several nearby workers rushed to assist but unfortunately, they too began to show signs of suffocation. In total, seven workers were affected by the accident. They were quickly transported to Cam Thuy General Hospital for emergency treatment. However, by the early hours of July 19, three of the workers had succumbed to their injuries, while the remaining four are currently receiving care at the hospital.

The local authorities are investigating the cause of the incident. The Dabaco Thanh Hoa pig farm is part of a larger project by Dabaco Vietnam Group, which has a total investment of 773 billion VND. This facility is designed to house 5,600 breeding pigs and is expected to supply over 158,000 market pigs annually. The project received approval from the Thanh Hoa provincial government in 2021 and spans over 50 hectares.
