High-Speed Truck Accident on Ho Chi Minh Road
A truck overturned while taking a high-speed turn on Ho Chi Minh Road, colliding with an oncoming vehicle.

A tragic accident took place on July 8 on National Route 9 in Quang Tri, Vietnam, claiming the lives of three people when a truck lost control and overturned.
The truck, which was traveling from Khe Sanh to Cam Lo, suddenly veered off course while navigating a curve in Dakrong commune. It crashed into the guardrail on the right side of the road before overturning. The three victims included Trinh Van Hoan, 56, and Hoang Thi Hien, 50, both from Yen My, Hung Yen province, and Le Van Quang, 26, from Vinh Thuc, Quang Ninh province.
Witnesses reported that Hien and Quang died instantly in the cabin of the truck, while Hoan sustained severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
The accident site showed significant damage, with the truck's front end severely deformed and debris scattered across the road, including spilled oil. The guardrail was also damaged in the collision.
Authorities have not yet determined who was driving the vehicle, and an investigation into the cause of the accident is currently underway. National Route 9, which stretches 83 kilometers to the Lao Bao international border gate, features two lanes and traverses hilly terrain with many sharp turns, making it a busy route for trucks and containers.
