Security has been significantly tightened at Tuyen Quang Specialized High School as students prepare for the second round of the high school graduation exam. On the morning of August 13, security personnel were deployed to ensure the exam's safety and transparency, safeguarding the rights of the students involved.

Today, candidates at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School are completing their registration for the afternoon exam. In the morning, staff involved in the examination process were briefed on the exam regulations. This time, the local Department of Education and Training has ensured that 100% of the staff received direct training on the exam rules, a notable difference from the first exam.

By around 7:30 AM, security was visibly heightened outside the school, with approximately 25 officers, including mobile forces and trained dogs, present to maintain order. According to Lieutenant Ninh Van Nam from the Provincial Police's Investigation Department, trained dogs are routinely used during the annual high school graduation exams in Tuyen Quang.

For the second round of the exam, scheduled for August 14-15, 328 students from Tuyen Quang Specialized High School will retake their graduation exams. All candidates will retain their original registration numbers and examination data from the official exam held on June 11-12. There are 15 examination rooms set up, with 326 students taking the Literature exam and 328 for Mathematics. Other subjects include Physics (140 students), Chemistry (113), Biology (38), History (113), Geography (37), Informatics (4), and Foreign Languages (207 students), which includes 198 students taking English, 7 taking Chinese, 1 taking Japanese, and 1 taking Korean.

According to Mr. Lam The Hung, Deputy Director of the Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training, a total of 175 personnel have been mobilized for the second round of exams at Tuyen Quang Specialized High School. Out of these, 70 individuals are responsible for various roles such as exam leadership, secretarial duties, supervision, police, health services, and security.

Importantly, the examination board has decided that no staff who supervised the first exam will be involved in the second round at Tuyen Quang Specialized High School. Specifically, teachers from Tuyen Trao High School, Y La High School, Nguyen Van Huyen High School, and the Provincial Ethnic Boarding School will not be assigned to supervise this round. The examination board has prioritized selecting the most qualified personnel based on their performance evaluations.

In light of the recent cheating scandal at Tuyen Quang, the Provincial Police's Investigation Agency has initiated legal proceedings against 29 individuals connected to the irregularities at Tuyen Quang Specialized High School during the 2026 graduation exam. Preliminary investigations revealed that teachers had assisted students during the exam, and there were instances of collaboration among candidates. The investigation has uncovered a network involving parents and teachers that compromised the fairness of the exam results.

So far, 29 individuals have been prosecuted, with 7 currently in custody. Data analysis indicates that out of 154 perfect scores in Mathematics across Tuyen Quang province this year, 147 were concentrated among a group of 328 students with consecutive registration numbers. This group exhibited an unusually high and uniform score distribution, with an average of 9.55, and approximately 1 in every 2.2 students achieving a perfect score of 10.
