The Tuyen Quang provincial government has officially appointed Deputy Chairman Do Anh Tuan as the head of the provincial committee responsible for organizing the retake of the 2026 National High School Graduation Exam. This announcement was made on August 6, following a decision by the Chairman of the Tuyen Quang People's Committee.

The committee's formation comes after the previous examination, where Vice Chairwoman Vuong Ngoc Ha served as the head. The new committee will oversee the retake of the exam for 328 students from Tuyen Quang Specialized High School, who will retake all subjects on August 14 and 15, 2026.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the retake is intended to ensure the safety, integrity, and fairness of the examination process, adhering to the regulations set forth by the government. It is not a disciplinary measure against the students involved.

The committee, led by Do Anh Tuan, includes deputy heads from various departments such as the Department of Education and Training, the provincial inspectorate, the provincial police, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Health. Members will also include representatives from relevant agencies and units.

As part of the preparations, the Ministry of Education and Training has outlined a plan for conducting the retake, which includes the proper organization of the examination according to established regulations. On the afternoon of August 13, students will complete registration and address any discrepancies before the exam schedule is shared.

The subjects for the retake include Vietnamese literature and mathematics on the first day, followed by two elective subjects from a range of options including foreign languages, history, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, and economics, among others. The Tuyen Quang Department of Education and Training is required to complete the withdrawal and cancellation of previously issued exam results by August 10, ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place for the retake.
