The Ministry of Education and Training (MoET) recently held a press conference to discuss the irregularities surrounding the high school graduation exam results in Tuyen Quang province. This issue has garnered significant attention due to the remarkable number of students achieving perfect scores in mathematics.

According to the data released by MoET, Tuyen Quang ranked second among ten provinces with the highest percentage of students receiving a perfect score of 10 in mathematics. Out of a total of 154 perfect scores in the province, an alarming 147 were concentrated among a group of 328 students with consecutive examination numbers. This group exhibited a notably high and uniform score distribution, with an average score of 9.55. Impressively, approximately one in every 2.2 students achieved a perfect score.

Statistics revealed that 299 out of the 328 students, or 91.16%, scored 9 points or above. Furthermore, if considering scores from 8 points upward, 324 students, equating to 98.78%, achieved this benchmark. Notably, there were no students in this group who scored below the average, with the lowest recorded score being 6 points. Only three students scored between 7 and 7.75 points.

In response to these findings, the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police have initiated legal proceedings against 27 individuals connected to the irregularities at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School examination site during the 2026 high school graduation exam. The criminal case has also been forwarded to the Ministry of Public Security for further investigation into the responsibilities of the involved parties.
