The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting has alerted that the provinces of Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Phu Tho, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, Dien Bien, and Son La will experience significant rainfall starting from the evening of July 27. The forecast indicates that these regions could see rainfall ranging from 50 to 120mm, with localized areas exceeding 250mm.

Beginning tomorrow evening, the northern region is expected to witness moderate to heavy rain, with some areas experiencing very heavy downpours. The forecast for the evening of July 26 suggests scattered rain and thunderstorms across the Northwest region, with rainfall amounts between 10 to 30mm, and some locations receiving over 60mm.

From the evening of July 27 to July 28, the aforementioned provinces are predicted to receive rainfall of 30 to 70mm, with isolated areas possibly seeing over 150mm. Other parts of the northern region will also experience rainfall, generally between 20 to 40mm, with localized heavy rain exceeding 70mm.

Authorities have issued warnings about the potential for severe weather conditions, including thunderstorms, hail, and strong winds. The risk of flash floods and landslides in vulnerable areas is heightened due to the anticipated heavy rainfall.

As the weather develops, residents in affected areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety and minimize property damage.
