15 Arrested for Online Gambling in Hung Yen

Authorities in Vinh Long, Vietnam, have taken action against two individuals involved in the illegal sale of firearms and ammunition. The police launched an investigation after discovering that the suspects were frequently advertising the sale of compressed air guns and related accessories on social media platforms.
Upon gathering sufficient evidence, the police invited the suspects, identified as N.T.P (born in 1996) and P.T.T (born in 1995), for questioning regarding their activities related to the purchase, sale, and possession of firearms and explosives online. During the interrogation, both suspects admitted to engaging in the sale of guns through social media groups with other individuals.
As a result of the investigation, authorities confiscated three firearms, numerous gun accessories, and over 2,200 rounds of various types of lead bullets from the suspects' residences. The Vinh Long police have since initiated criminal proceedings against the two individuals for the illegal possession of military weapons.
This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding the illegal arms trade in Vietnam, prompting law enforcement to intensify efforts to crack down on such activities.
