A ninth-grade student from Albert Einstein Primary, Secondary, and High School in Ha Tinh has died while participating in an educational experience program in Hue. The incident occurred during a school trip that took place from September 25 to 27, where 178 ninth graders were involved.

On September 28, a representative from the Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training confirmed that they are finalizing a report to submit to the provincial government regarding the unfortunate event. The student, identified as N.M.Q., born in 2012, was found dead after falling from the fifth floor of a hotel in Hue where the group was staying.

The educational experience program is a mandatory component of the national curriculum, as outlined in Circular 32/2018 by the Ministry of Education and Training. It is designed to provide practical learning opportunities for students, with a total of 105 hours allocated for such activities each year across various educational levels.

While the department acknowledges the importance of practical activities for students, they expressed deep sorrow over the incident, emphasizing that no one wished for such a tragedy. Currently, there are no regulations prohibiting schools from organizing out-of-province experience activities; however, schools must create specific plans to ensure student safety. The principal is held fully responsible for these activities.

Following the incident, the school reported that the remaining 177 students were safely returned to Ha Tinh on the afternoon of September 27. After all necessary procedures were completed, the student's body was sent back to his hometown for funeral arrangements. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the incident.
