Tan Thanh – pristine beach of Hue

THUA THIEN – HUE Without tourists, the image of children playing with the waves, boats lying on the sand seems to paint a picture of childhood in Tan Thanh sea.

More than 20 km from Hue city center, Quang Ngan and Quang Cong communes (Quang Dien district) have 12 km of coastline with many beautiful beaches, such as Tan My, Cuong Giang, and Tan Thanh, according to the provincial portal. Hue. Not as famous and crowded as Thuan An (Hue City) or Vinh Thanh (Phu Vang district), Tan Thanh beach (Quang Cong commune, Quang Dien district) has the beauty of wild and peaceful. In addition to the clear blue sea and golden sand, Tan Thanh also has small alleys leading to the sea with two rows of romantic green casuarinas and also the rustic dishes of the locals at Con Gai market.

Living in Huong Tra town (Thua Thien – Hue), but on June 23, Hoang The Lap (20 years old) came to Tan Thanh beach in Quang Cong commune for the first time.

Mr. Nguyen Trinh, working at Quang Cong Commune Union, said that the commune has a long coastline with the highlight of two beaches, Cuong Gian and Tan Thanh. Cuong Gian beach is chosen as a summer destination by many tourists in Hue and outside the province. Cuong Gian is being invested in tourism development, some resorts have started to operate. Tan Thanh beach is still quite unspoiled and mainly serves local people.

Tan Thanh village is located on the central road of the commune, connecting Tam Giang lagoon with the sea. The road here is easy to go, you can travel by motorbike or car according to the instructions of the directions application. Tam Giang Bridge, known locally as Ca Cut Bridge, was opened to traffic in 2010 to shorten the travel distance from Hue City to Quang Cong. From Ca Cut Bridge, visitors going straight along the road 49B will arrive at the first point of Quang Cong, Con Gai market, Mr. Trinh added.

“Sunset on Tam Giang Bridge is also a beautiful scene worth enjoying, when the last rays of sunlight spread on the sparkling river,” Lap shared.

Before going to the sea, Lap was impressed by the alleys going through the hamlet and village leading to the sea. Thanks to the green casuarina groves, the road becomes more poetic and peaceful. The image of children running and playing on the street made Lap remember his childhood, happily and without worries.

Going to the sea, the first thing Lap saw was the blue sea in the distance and the small boats of the people lying on the sand. Not crowded, not noisy, there are no resorts, hotels, shops on the beach. Lap could clearly hear the sound of the waves crashing against the shore and the wind blowing through the casuarinas. “Like a melodious song of the ocean,” Lap said.

Reaching the sea at around 16:30, it was still hot, but some people went to the sea, sat under the shade of trees to chat and enjoy the wind. The children ran and jumped, playing with each wave that hit the shore. The sandy beach here is long and gentle, the sea water is blue and clean, safe for swimming.

Without tourists, the beach is mainly a place to rest and relax for locals after a day of work. Occasionally, there are a few people’s boats from afar docked before sunset. “It’s just familiar images, but when combined, it creates a peaceful picture. I just sat there admiring the scenery but didn’t want to return,” Lap shared.

Located along the beach, about 300 meters away is a residential area. Visitors will encounter moments when people lead buffaloes and cows along the beach back home.

Mr. Trinh added that visitors can swim and camp for free and safely. However, because there is no camping service business, visitors should carefully prepare the necessary tools and equipment. In terms of cuisine, there are a number of restaurants located in residential areas for visitors to enjoy. Visitors can also move to Con Gai market to buy aquatic and seafood products of Tam Giang lagoon such as herring, eel, sea bass, grouper, goby at affordable prices to organize a barbecue on the beach. sea. Remember to clean up before leaving.

Guests can also stay at a number of homestays and resorts in Cuong Giang beach and in Quang Dien commune, about 5 km from Tan Thanh beach.

Near Quang Cong beach, there are Hai Duong sea, Ru Cha mangrove forest, Tam Giang lagoon. A little further there is Thuan An beach, one of the most famous beaches in Hue for tourists to visit. The scenery on the way back is equally beautiful with lagoons, lagoons, and herds of buffalo grazing.

Although there are no tourism and entertainment services for tourists from afar, Tan Thanh is still a destination for those who love peace, want to relax and rest. “The peaceful scenery, the soothing blue of the sea here can help people heal. But when you come here, hopefully people won’t break the quiet scene there. Go softly and speak quietly and don’t let it pass.” nothing but footprints,” Lap shared.
