On September 21, the Hai Phong Police Department held a ceremony to announce new appointments as part of a directive from the Minister of Public Security. During this meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Duc, previously the Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, was appointed as the Deputy Director of the Hai Phong Police Department.

Additionally, Lieutenant Colonel Duc was assigned to work at the Internal Affairs Committee of the Hai Phong City Party Committee starting September 22, 2026. In his speech after receiving the appointment, he expressed his commitment to fulfilling his duties and contributing to the security and development of the city.

On September 23, the An Giang Police Department also announced a similar appointment. Based on the proposal from the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone Party Committee, Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Giang was assigned to work at the Party Committee of Phu Quoc. Colonel Le Phu Thanh, Deputy Director of the An Giang Police, emphasized the importance of this assignment, urging Lieutenant Colonel Giang to quickly familiarize himself with the area and effectively execute his responsibilities, particularly in relation to the development project aimed at establishing Phu Quoc as a model unit for security and urban civilization.

Both appointments highlight the ongoing efforts within Vietnam's police force to adapt and respond to the evolving needs of public security and governance.
