Colonel Trinh Khac Cuong has officially been appointed as the Director of the Lao Cai Provincial Police, starting from August 12, 2023. This decision was announced during a ceremony on August 10, organized by the Ministry of Public Security at the Lao Cai Police Department.

Previously serving as the Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Political Security, Colonel Cuong's appointment reflects the trust placed in him by the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security. During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham The Tung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, congratulated Colonel Cuong on his new role and expressed confidence in his ability to quickly adapt to the responsibilities of his position.

Lieutenant General Tung emphasized the importance of maintaining internal unity and leveraging collective intelligence to successfully complete all assigned tasks. In addition to Colonel Cuong's appointment, the ceremony also included the announcement of the transfer of Major General Cao Minh Huyen, the former Director of Lao Cai Provincial Police, to the position of Director of the Department of Immigration Management within the Ministry of Public Security.

Colonel Trinh Khac Cuong, born in 1977, has held various significant positions throughout his career, including Deputy Director of the Kon Tum Provincial Police and Deputy Chief of the Office of the Ministry of Public Security. His extensive experience in law enforcement is expected to contribute positively to the operations of the Lao Cai Provincial Police.
