Colonel Hoang Quoc Viet has officially taken on the role of Director of Police for Thanh Hoa Province, following his appointment announced on August 10. Before this new position, he served as the Deputy Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Department (C04) within the Ministry of Public Security.

During the announcement ceremony, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Long, Deputy Minister of Public Security, congratulated Colonel Viet on his new assignment, expressing the Ministry's trust in his capabilities. He urged the new director to quickly familiarize himself with the local situation and foster unity within the provincial police force. The goal is to provide effective and timely advice to the provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee on security and order matters that support the socio-economic development of the region.

In his acceptance speech, Colonel Hoang Quoc Viet expressed his desire for continued support and guidance from the Central Public Security Party Committee, the Ministry of Public Security, and local authorities. He emphasized the importance of collaboration among various departments and agencies to ensure the Thanh Hoa Police fulfill their responsibilities effectively.

Colonel Hoang Quoc Viet, born in 1975 in Hien Khanh commune, Ninh Binh province, has a long history of service in law enforcement. Prior to his role in Thanh Hoa, he worked extensively at the Son La Provincial Police, holding various positions including Deputy Team Leader and Team Leader of the Criminal Investigation Police, Deputy Head of Moc Chau District Police, and Head of the Personnel Organization Department. In November 2022, he was appointed as Deputy Head of the Drug Crime Investigation Department before his recent promotion.
