A serious traffic accident occurred in Ho Chi Minh City on September 16, when a Mercedes car collided with several motorcycles that were stopped at a red light. The incident took place around 10:30 AM near the Tan Binh Industrial Park in the Tay Thanh Ward, resulting in injuries to two people.

The seven-seater vehicle, driven by a man, was traveling along Truong Chinh Street towards the An Suong intersection when it unexpectedly crashed into the motorcycles waiting at the traffic signal. Eyewitnesses reported that one motorcycle was dragged under the car for over ten meters before the vehicle came to a stop.

According to Nguyen Hung, a local resident, the two injured individuals suffered broken legs and soft tissue injuries, while others involved sustained minor scrapes. Many bystanders heard a loud noise and quickly moved away from their vehicles to avoid being caught in the accident.

At the scene, the front of the car was severely damaged, and debris from the motorcycles was scattered across the road. The area had recently been cordoned off for metro construction, which compounded the traffic congestion caused by the accident. A long skid mark, measuring over ten meters, was visible on the road where the motorcycle had been dragged.

Traffic police arrived shortly after the incident to assess the situation and take the driver for questioning. By noon, the damaged vehicles had been removed from the scene, but traffic remained disrupted in the area due to ongoing construction work.
