Local authorities in Phu Tho are currently investigating a shocking incident that took place at Chùa Bầu, where a man was seen violently assaulting a young boy. The incident, which occurred on August 11, has drawn widespread condemnation on social media, leading to calls for accountability.
According to reports from the Vinh Phuc Ward leadership, the local government has already submitted a report to the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee regarding the incident. The man, dressed in a brown robe, was filmed repeatedly striking the boy with a stick while other children looked on in fear.
Witnesses described the boy's distress as he cried out for the man to stop, pleading, "It hurts so much, please... I'm bleeding." Despite the boy's pleas, the assailant continued to physically abuse him, grabbing his hair and forcing his head down. The video, lasting approximately 40 seconds, has sparked outrage among netizens, who are calling for justice.
Nguyen Hoai Nam, the Chairman of the Vinh Phuc People's Committee, confirmed that authorities have been instructed to thoroughly investigate the matter. He emphasized that any violations will be dealt with severely, reflecting the community's commitment to protecting its children.
