Hanoi has initiated plans for a senior health care complex that will span approximately 9.26 hectares in the Hoang Mai district. This project, proposed by the Hanoi People's Committee, is set to be developed through a public-private partnership (PPP) model, specifically under a build-transfer (BT) contract.

The estimated investment for this ambitious project is around 14.229 trillion VND. Once completed, the complex aims to serve as a comprehensive health care and training facility, focusing on long-term care and rehabilitation services for the elderly. It is designed to provide high-quality medical services, featuring a general hospital and specialized centers with a total capacity of 1,600 beds, adhering to international standards.

The complex will not only enhance the quality of life for seniors but also attract social investment and foster public-private collaboration in the health sector. The project is expected to create a safe, comfortable, and friendly living environment for the elderly, ensuring that they receive the care and support they need.

The consortium responsible for this project includes the Hanoi University of Medicine Hospital, which will play a crucial role in overseeing the development, alongside several other companies specializing in construction and healthcare.

As the population ages, the need for specialized health care facilities for seniors has become increasingly urgent. This initiative reflects Hanoi's commitment to improving health care services and addressing the challenges posed by an aging demographic.
