On August 2, the K72 team from the Military Command of Dong Nai launched a search for information regarding a portrait of a girl found in a soldier's wallet. This wallet was uncovered during the excavation of a soldier’s grave in a rubber plantation located in Minh Duc commune, Dong Nai province.

The K72 team is appealing to the public for any information that could help identify the soldier and the girl in the portrait, as they hope to reunite the soldier's remains with their family. This initiative is part of a broader effort to honor and remember those who sacrificed their lives during the war.

During the excavation, the K72 team also discovered several engraved items, including pens with names and drawings, which may provide further clues about the soldier's identity. Among these items, one pen was engraved with the name “Hien” and featured an airplane design, while another had the inscription “UOC UO” alongside “SN - 39.” Additionally, a comb with the inscription “Ky...” was found.

As of July 27, the K72 team has successfully located and recovered 26 sets of remains of soldiers in the Bình Minh area of Minh Duc commune. They continue to clean and process these artifacts in hopes of uncovering more valuable information and images related to the soldiers.
