On July 20, 2026, Bac Ninh province leaders, including Nguyen Viet Oanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, visited families of war veterans in Hoang Van commune and Dong Nguyen ward. This visit was part of the commemoration of the 79th War Invalids and Martyrs Day, which honors those who have contributed and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation.

During the visit, Nguyen Viet Oanh expressed heartfelt gratitude to the veterans, including Ta Van Khanh, a war invalid with a 61% disability, and Tran Van Tuon, who has an 81% disability. He inquired about their health and living conditions, emphasizing that caring for those who have served the country is a continuous political task that reflects the responsibility and ethics of the Bac Ninh Party Committee, government, and people.

Oanh praised the resilience of the families of policy beneficiaries, noting that despite their war injuries, the veterans remain exemplary citizens who adhere to the Party's policies and actively contribute to their communities. He encouraged these families to continue their revolutionary traditions and educate younger generations to follow in their footsteps. Additionally, he urged local authorities to ensure timely implementation of preferential policies to improve the material and spiritual lives of those who have served the nation.

On the same day, Nguyen Thi Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Bac Ninh National Assembly Delegation, also visited and presented gifts to veterans Ngo Bao Dinh and Tran Van Thanh in Dong Nguyen ward. Both veterans have a history of service and injuries from their time in the military.

Huong conveyed deep appreciation on behalf of the provincial leadership, affirming that the Bac Ninh Party Committee, government, and people always remember and honor the contributions of heroes, veterans, and those who have served the revolution. She encouraged the veterans to continue exemplifying revolutionary qualities and to be role models for their descendants while urging local authorities to effectively implement policies related to gratitude and ensure that benefits for those who have served are delivered promptly.
