HCMC – FPT Corporation has launched a charity run themed “FPT Happy Run,” expected to attract over 135,000 local and foreign runners, to raise funds to support disadvantaged students in remote areas in Vietnam.

The event is part of the firm’s “FPT for Community Day” program aimed to mark its 35th anniversary.

The run will be organized in Danang City on March 12, with the participation of 3,500 FPT employees and sports lovers. For each runner, FPT will contribute VND1 million to the Hope Foundation. The event is expected to raise at least VND3.5 billion for the foundation’s “Light to School” program.

Besides, the run will be held online on the V-Race sports platform from March 3 to September 2.

Apart from the charity purpose, the event is aimed at spreading the spirit of sports and kindness, said an FPT representative.

The “FPT for Community Day” is annually organized on March 13 to encourage FPT employees and executives to give back to society and spread love and kindness to needy people.

This year will mark the 13th anniversary of the “FPT For Community Day”. Over the past 13 years, FPT has launched a series of social activities to make donations in cash and kind, contributing to building a better life for underprivileged people nationwide.
