Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Anime to Premiere on Crunchyroll

Crunchyroll officially announced today that Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, an "enhanced" edition of the Dragon Ball Super anime, will stream on the platform starting on October 11, 2026, as part of Crunchyroll’s Fall 2026 anime season lineup. Fans of the franchise can look forward to this exciting new installment.

Release Date: October 11, 2026

Territories: The series will be available in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Australia, New Zealand, India, Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Synopsis: Several years have passed since the fierce battle against Majin Buu, and Earth has finally regained a brief moment of peace. However, Beerus, the God of Destruction, awakens from his long sleep. Even the Kai and Supreme Kai, aware of Beerus' overwhelming power to destroy entire planets, watch his awakening with great fear. Meanwhile, Beerus hears rumors of a Saiyan who defeated Frieza and suddenly appears before Goku.

Targeted by Beerus, the strongest being in the universe, Earth is in grave danger. Thus begins an earth-shattering cosmic battle between the God of Destruction and Goku and his allies, a conflict that will shake the entire universe.

The original Dragon Ball Super anime aired from 2015 to 2018 for a total of 131 episodes, produced by Toei Animation. Additionally, a new series titled Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol was also announced at the same event where Dragon Ball Super: Beerus was revealed.

Crunchyroll currently streams the original Dragon Ball Super, along with other series in the franchise, including Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball DAIMA.
