A tragic traffic accident occurred on June 19, 2026, at the intersection of Ly Thai To and Thanh Nien streets in Quy Nhon Nam ward, Gia Lai province. The collision involved a car and a motorcycle, leading to the death of a young man at the scene.

According to preliminary reports, at approximately 9:30 PM, a car with license plate 77C-120.91, driven by 31-year-old Huynh Van D., was traveling along Ly Thai To street. Upon reaching the intersection, the vehicle collided with a motorcycle bearing license plate 77H7-6201, operated by 40-year-old Nguyen Huu V., who had a passenger, 26-year-old Tran Chi C., riding behind him.

The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in the immediate death of Tran Chi C. at the scene. Nguyen Huu V. sustained injuries and was promptly taken to the Gia Lai Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment.

Local authorities, including the Gia Lai Provincial Police, are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to determine its cause. Traffic accidents have been a growing concern in the region, prompting calls for increased safety measures and awareness among drivers.
