Distance from the city centre, about 150km from Hanoi, the Dong Cao plateau (in Thach Son commune, Son Dong district, Bac Giang province), with its back against the mountain and the front facing the basin-shaped valleys, is an ideal camping location attracting many travellers, to experience thanks to its green natural landscape, diverse terrain and pleasant, fresh atmosphere.

Dong Cao has many large grasslands stretching one after another, interspersed with large undulating rocks and immense green forests in the distance. This place is about 1000m above sea level, so the climate is cool all year round.

Visitors can travel from Hanoi to the City to reach the Dong Cao plateau. Bac Giang, follow Highway 31 through An Chau town, Van Son commune or An Lap commune. The road is convenient but has many steep passes; visitors can travel by motorbike or car.
