Aqua City Co., Ltd - an enterprise owned by Novaland with 70% of capital - last year reported a loss of 136

Novaland is pushing forward with the Aqua City project in Dong Nai, aiming for completion by 2027. On August 18, the company held the "Aqua City Total Completion - Creating an Iconic Urban Area" event, attended by financial partners, banks, and strategic contractors. This event provided updates on legal progress, funding, construction, and the project’s implementation plans for the 2026-2027 period.
Aqua City, spanning 1,000 hectares, is envisioned as an ecological urban area along the river. The project benefits from significant infrastructure developments, including Nguyen Huu Canh Avenue, Long Hung Bridge, and Long Thanh International Airport. Novaland's leadership shared the latest information about Aqua City with financial partners and contractors, as well as a list of projects the group plans to implement in the near future.
As legal obstacles are gradually resolved, Novaland is collaborating with financial partners and contractors to expedite the project's completion. Currently, over 4,000 engineers and workers, along with hundreds of contractors and consulting units, are actively involved in construction. Various housing, technical infrastructure, landscaping, and amenities are being developed simultaneously in the Sun Harbor, Ever Green, and Phoenix Island sections.
As of mid-August, financial institutions have committed more than 20 trillion VND to support the implementation and completion of Aqua City during the 2026-2027 period, with 5.444 trillion VND already disbursed. The project aims to deliver over 9,000 products while continuing to develop amenities related to education, healthcare, and entertainment, gradually completing the urban ecosystem. To date, approximately 1,300 townhouses and villas have been handed over to residents, with several amenities already operational, including Aqua Marina, Nova Mall, a sports center, a clubhouse, riverside parks, and a chain of restaurants and cafes.
At the end of July, the first residents of Aqua City received land use rights certificates and ownership documents for their properties. Additionally, more than 1,000 houses in two component projects within Aqua City are ready for business. The project is entering an intensified construction phase.
During the event, Cao Tran Duy Nam, Deputy General Director of Novaland, expressed the company's desire to build a network of strategic contractors with financial capacity, construction expertise, and commitments to quality and timelines, aiming for collaboration until 2032. Nam noted that Novaland currently has a portfolio of over 57 projects covering approximately 10,600 hectares, with a total investment of about 442 trillion VND, expected to commence and complete between 2027 and 2032. Aqua City is seen as a key project in this acceleration phase.
Representatives from banks such as MB, VPBank, and VietinBank confirmed their continued support for Novaland through suitable financial and credit solutions, contributing to the resources needed for Aqua City. Bank representatives believe that credit funding focused on projects with clear legal frameworks and substantial implementation will enhance capital efficiency, drive business activities, and provide additional momentum for various sectors in the supply chain.
MB representatives highlighted Aqua City's advantages in location, scale, and its vision as an ecological urban area along the river. Once completed, the project is expected to attract residents, professionals, and a workforce, thereby stimulating trade and services in the region. In addition to financial support, contractors are committed to mobilizing personnel and technology to meet project timelines. "We pledge to continue mobilizing engineers, experts, and appropriate construction technology to ensure quality and construction progress, partnering with Novaland to complete Aqua City as planned," stated a representative from Ho Team.
Duong Van Bac, General Director of Novaland, emphasized that the recent developments at Aqua City reflect the company's efforts to return the project to its growth trajectory and fulfill commitments to customers. "We are grateful to the government, central agencies, and local authorities for resolving bottlenecks, enabling the company to unlock resources and continue project implementation," Bac said. According to Novaland's leadership, the collaboration of financial partners, contractors, consulting units, and customers is a driving force for the company to continue enhancing Aqua City, aiming to establish a modern ecological urban area along the river in Dong Nai.
