VinFast Adjusts Electric Car Prices, Discounts Up to 170 Million VND
VinFast has announced a price reduction for its entire range of electric vehicles in Vietnam, with discounts

In a recent development, the VinFast VF 5 has experienced its lowest pricing since the start of the year, coinciding with the annual market slowdown in Vietnam. During this period, many vehicles, including the popular VinFast VF 5, are being offered at substantial discounts by dealers.
At a showroom in Hanoi, sales staff reported that the VF 5 is currently priced at 415 million VND, which reflects a reduction of 81 million VND from its original listed price of 496 million VND. This price point is notably lower than that of a conventional A-segment gasoline vehicle, such as the Kia Morning, which has a maximum price of 469 million VND.
The current pricing includes a direct discount of 10% from the manufacturer, a 0.5% reduction for the lowest membership tier, and additional cash incentives from the dealer. However, not all showrooms are applying the same level of discount, as evidenced by a dealership in Ho Chi Minh City where the VF 5 is offered at a reduced price of 432 million VND, down by only 64 million VND.
These discounts apply to the latest production batch of the VinFast VF 5 (VIN 2026). Additionally, special promotions are available for certain customers, such as those working in law enforcement or the military, who can receive an extra 5% discount, along with a voucher worth 80 million VND for the gasoline model Lux SA.
Experts suggest that the significant discounts from dealers may also indicate a strategy to clear inventory in anticipation of a new version of the VF 5, which has been spotted on the streets of India and Vietnam. The current VinFast VF 5 is equipped with an electric motor producing 134 horsepower and a maximum torque of 135Nm. With a battery capacity of 37.23 kWh, the vehicle offers a range of up to 326.4 km on a full charge.
Thanks to its accessible pricing compared to similarly sized gasoline vehicles and the extended promotion of free charging until 2029 (up to 10 times a month), the VinFast VF 5 has become one of the best-selling vehicles in Vietnam. By the end of July, a total of 24,574 units of this model had been sold, including the service version Herio Green.
