VinFast Sets New Record for Electric Vehicle Sales in Vietnam

VinFast has announced that it delivered 17,955 electric vehicles to customers in Vietnam during June 2026. This achievement brings the total number of vehicles sold since the beginning of the year to 115,916, marking a significant 72% increase compared to the same period in 2025. This is the first time in Vietnam's automotive history that a manufacturer has surpassed the milestone of 100,000 vehicles sold within just six months, solidifying VinFast's position as the leading player in the market.

The record-breaking performance, while impressive, was anticipated after VinFast maintained its status as the best-selling brand in the country for 21 consecutive months, from October 2024 to now. This success is attributed to the strong sales across its entire product range, with most models leading in sales and consumer trends in their respective segments.

Among the standout models, the Limo Green delivered 3,868 units in June and a total of 27,927 vehicles in the first half of the year. It has revolutionized passenger transport, becoming the most favored model in the market due to its reliable, stable, and cost-effective operation. Following closely is the VF 3, often referred to as the “people's electric car,” which sold 3,550 units in June, contributing to a total of 23,781 units in the first half of the year, thanks to its stylish design and optimal functionality.

The VF 5 also holds a strong position in the A-segment SUV market, with 20,167 units sold since the start of the year, including 3,364 units in June. Other popular models include the VF 6 (14,045 units), VF MPV 7 (9,177 units), and VF 7 (6,849 units), with respective sales of 2,988, 1,254, and 1,437 units in June.

As July begins, VinFast has officially adjusted the prices of all its vehicle lines, incorporating long-term incentives directly into the selling price to enhance customer accessibility. Additionally, the company is running special promotions for customers purchasing the VF 5, VF MPV 7, and Limo Green from July 7 to July 31, 2026, offering discounts of 20 million VND for the VF MPV 7, 25 million VND for the VF 5, and 35 million VND for the Limo Green.

VinFast has also introduced the compact urban vehicle VF 2, priced at just 188 million VND, with early orders accepted from July 15-17, 2026, featuring an 8 million VND discount per vehicle. Expected to be delivered in September, the VF 2 is anticipated to create a new wave of demand in the market, fulfilling the dream of car ownership for many Vietnamese citizens.

VinFast's achievement of being the first automaker to exceed 100,000 sales in just six months not only reflects customer confidence in its high-quality products but also underscores the growing preference for electric vehicles among consumers, positioning Vietnam as a leader in green transition in the region.
