Hanoi to Host Fireworks Display for Liberation Day

On the evening of October 10, Hanoi will commemorate the 72nd anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital with a spectacular fireworks display. This event is scheduled to last for 15 minutes, starting at 9 PM, and will be held at three main locations: Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, and Van Quan Lake.

The first fireworks site will be set up in front of the Hanoi Post Office in Hoan Kiem District, featuring an impressive array of 1,725 high-altitude fireworks, 500 low-altitude fireworks, 50 low-level firework racks, and 350 firework displays positioned directly on the water. This central location is ideal for residents and visitors, as the pedestrian area nearby offers numerous cafes and restaurants with views of the lake, allowing people to enjoy both the culinary delights and the fireworks in the heart of the city.

The second site, located in Quang Khanh Street, Tay Ho District, will showcase the largest number of high-altitude fireworks this year, with 1,800 fireworks and 475 low-altitude fireworks. For the first time, spectators will witness 200 water fireworks combined with 900 firework displays spread across West Lake, creating a stunning light show on the water's surface. The areas around Tay Ho and Quang Khanh, as well as the roads along the lake such as Quang Khanh, Ve Ho, Trich Sai, and Nguyen Dinh Thi, will provide excellent viewing spots for this display.

The third fireworks site at Van Quan Lake in Ha Dong District is designed to maximize the use of the water space and the scenic beauty of the lakeside, creating a multi-layered visual effect. This location will feature nearly 800 fireworks units, including high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks as well as firework displays. The open space around Van Quan Lake, with its parks and walking paths, will facilitate easy access for residents to gather and watch the fireworks.
