Nguyễn Sinh Nhật Tân, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, effective for the term 2025-2030. This decision was announced by the Politburo on September 18.

At 51 years old and originally from Nghệ An, Tân holds a master's degree in Commercial Law and a bachelor's degree in International Law. He has served as the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade since September 2021, where he has been responsible for various roles within the ministry.

Before his current position, Tân held several significant roles in the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including Director of the Department of Legal Affairs and Director of the Department of Competition and Consumer Protection. His extensive experience in the ministry has equipped him with the skills necessary for his new role in Ho Chi Minh City.

Currently, Trần Lưu Quang serves as the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, alongside several Deputy Secretaries: Lê Quốc Phong (Standing Deputy), Nguyễn Văn Được (Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee), Võ Văn Minh (Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council), Nguyễn Phước Lộc (Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Ho Chi Minh City), Đặng Minh Thông, and Văn Thị Bạch Tuyết.
