Nguyen Minh Duc, also known as 'Duc Cong', was apprehended by the police in Ninh Binh on September 18. The 45-year-old has been accused of organizing illegal drug use and has a lengthy criminal record, including eight prior convictions related to public disorder, theft, and assault.

Duc Cong gained notoriety through his online presence, with over 115,000 followers across two Facebook accounts, 'Ga Rung' and 'Duc Cong Nam Dinh', as well as a TikTok account. His livestreams often recount his past legal troubles, which authorities believe he uses to cultivate an image of a notorious figure in the online criminal community.

The police have expressed concern that Duc's content could negatively influence young viewers, glamorizing a life of crime and potentially impacting public safety. In addition to his online activities, Duc is believed to have connections with individuals involved in drug trafficking in the area.

On September 16, law enforcement seized drug paraphernalia and other related evidence during a search of Duc's residence. The investigation into his activities continues as authorities work to mitigate the impact of such online personas on society.
