Former Chairman of Viet My Company Arrested for Smuggling
Bui Chan Phuong, the former Chairman of Viet My Company, has been arrested along with two accomplices for

Vu Thi Dung, aged 39, the director of Explore Ha Giang Company, was arrested on September 16 by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police for tax evasion under Article 200 of the Penal Code. The investigation revealed that since the establishment of the company, which specializes in international tourism services, Dung has not declared or paid value-added tax or corporate income tax, resulting in losses amounting to billions of Vietnamese dong for the state budget.
The authorities are continuing to investigate the nature and extent of the violations, the amount of tax evaded, and the roles of Dung and other related individuals and organizations. This case highlights the ongoing efforts by Vietnamese authorities to combat tax evasion and ensure compliance among businesses operating in the country.
