The police department in Phu Quoc has announced an initiative to enhance the processing of administrative procedures during the upcoming National Day holiday on September 2. This proactive measure is designed to improve service quality for citizens, ensuring that essential tasks are handled promptly and efficiently, even during the holiday period.

According to the directive from the Director of the An Giang Provincial Police, the Phu Quoc police have organized staff to manage the reception and processing of administrative tasks related to residence registration, identity card issuance, and electronic identification account applications. This service will be available from August 29 to September 15, 2026, with extended hours to accommodate residents.

The reception of documents will occur throughout the day, with morning hours from 7 AM to 11 AM, afternoon from 1 PM to 5 PM, and evening from 7 PM to 10 PM. This arrangement allows individuals to schedule their visits conveniently, avoiding delays associated with the holiday.

Residents are encouraged to visit the Administrative Service Center located at 3 Mai Thi Hong Hanh Street, Dương Đông Ward, Phu Quoc for identity card services. For residence registration, documents can be submitted at the Administrative Procedure Reception Office at 7 Nguyen Du Street, Dương Đông Ward.

To facilitate electronic identification account applications, the police have set up seven reception points across the area, including locations at former police stations in various neighborhoods. This effort aims to assist citizens who may have lost their identity cards or need to renew their documents during the holiday.

Nguyen Van Trung, a resident of Dương Đông, expressed his appreciation for the initiative, stating that the ability to complete these procedures during the holiday is significant for those with busy work schedules. The police's commitment to serving the community during this time reflects their dedication to public service.

Colonel Dinh Xuan Truong, Chief of the Phu Quoc Police, emphasized that maintaining administrative services during the holiday aligns with the An Giang Provincial Police's goal of enhancing public service quality. This initiative is part of a broader effort to ensure that all citizens, especially those returning home for the holiday, can access essential services without inconvenience.
