Long Thanh International Airport (LTIA) has recently raised a significant alert concerning the proliferation of fake fan pages on social media platforms. The airport has confirmed that it operates only one official Facebook page titled "LONG THANH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT." Any other pages that use similar names, images, or claim to represent the airport are unauthorized and should be considered fraudulent.

In its announcement, LTIA urged employees, partners, and the public to refrain from following, interacting with, or sharing content from these impersonating pages. Users are also advised not to provide personal information, account details, or OTP codes, and to avoid transferring money or conducting transactions based on requests from unofficial sources. LTIA emphasized the importance of verifying information and encouraged users to report any fake pages to Facebook.

For updates regarding activities, recruitment, events, and other announcements, LTIA will communicate through its official channels. The airport is being developed on a site of approximately 5,000 hectares, with a total investment of about 336.63 trillion VND, equivalent to over 16 billion USD. The project is divided into three phases and, upon completion, will feature four runways, four passenger terminals, and an estimated capacity of around 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo annually.

In the first phase, the Vietnam Airport Corporation (ACV) is the main investor, with plans to accommodate approximately 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo each year. According to ACV, components of the third phase, including the runway, passenger terminal, cargo terminal, internal transport systems, technical infrastructure, and auxiliary structures, are being rapidly completed, aiming for operational readiness by December 1, 2026. Testing operations at Long Thanh Airport are scheduled to take place in three phases from September to November 2026, involving airlines and ground service units to validate and refine operational processes before the official launch at the end of the year.
