Diva Hồng Nhung Issues Urgent Warning About Fake Account

Diva Hồng Nhung, a renowned Vietnamese singer, has recently alerted her friends and fans about a serious issue involving her social media account. She discovered that her Zalo account has been impersonated, leading to potential scams targeting her acquaintances.

In a personal story shared on her account, Hồng Nhung expressed her concern, stating, "My Zalo account has been faked and is sending messages to many of my friends. I hope everyone stays cautious. I am still figuring out how to stop this." Along with her warning, she posted a screenshot of a conversation that illustrates the tactics used by the impersonator.

The fake account initiated contact with one of Hồng Nhung's acquaintances, asking them to switch to Facebook and requesting a loan of 80 million VND for urgent matters, promising to repay immediately. The impersonator attempted to create a sense of familiarity and trust by engaging in casual conversation, even mentioning that they were with a male companion and discussing gift purchases.

As the conversation progressed, the impersonator directed the person to transfer money to a specified account, attempting to convince them of the urgency. However, the recipient of the message sensed something was off and responded cautiously.

This incident is not isolated, as many artists in Vietnam, including MC Đại Nghĩa and Thủy Tiên, have faced similar issues with fake accounts being used to defraud their fans. The methods employed by scammers have become increasingly sophisticated, with some even managing to take control of real accounts or using AI technology to mimic images and voices.

Hồng Nhung's warning serves as a reminder for everyone to verify requests for money, especially when they come from social media accounts. Users are encouraged to be vigilant about unusual accounts and to report any signs of impersonation.
