Many people these days have received messages that claim to show ways to make money online. The Vietnam

Vietnam Electricity (EVN) has recently released an important notice for citizens across the country regarding a new type of scam that has emerged. Customers have reported receiving messages that appear to be from EVN, with the sender name displayed as 'EVN CSKH'. These messages contain a six-digit OTP code along with a suspicious link that includes the keyword 'evn', misleading recipients into believing they are official communications from the electricity provider.
EVN has confirmed that these messages are part of a new fraudulent scheme aimed at deceiving users into accessing fake websites, thereby compromising personal information, customer data, or banking accounts. A representative from EVN stated that their customer care application, EVN CSKH, has been in trial since June 15, 2026, and users will only receive OTP codes during their first login or when verifying transactions through the app. Notably, official OTP messages from EVN do not include any links.
In light of this situation, EVN urges the public to remain vigilant and not to click on any unfamiliar links sent via messages, emails, social media, or messaging applications under the guise of EVN or its employees. Customers are also advised against providing OTP codes, login passwords, banking account information, or personal data to anyone claiming to represent EVN. Furthermore, EVN emphasizes that users should only download the EVN CSKH application from official app stores like Google Play and the App Store. Before installation, users should carefully check the app name, publisher, and avoid downloading software from unverified links to minimize the risk of scams and ensure information safety.
