Federico Rampazzo, the head coach of the Vietnam men's volleyball team, has finalized his selection of 12 players who will compete in the upcoming ASIAD 20. This decision comes after a thorough evaluation by Rampazzo and his coaching staff, ensuring that the chosen athletes are the best fit for the tournament.

The selected players for ASIAD 20 include: Dinh Van Duy, Tran Hoai Phuong, Duong Van Tien, Tran Minh Duc, Bui Xuan Tien, Tran Duy Tuyen, Tang Ngoc Hieu, Truong The Khai, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Dinh Van Phuong, Cao Duc Hoang, and Trinh Duy Phuc.

The men's indoor volleyball event at ASIAD 20 is scheduled to take place from September 27 to October 3, with a total of 16 teams participating. The teams have been drawn into four groups. Group A includes Japan (the host), Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. Group B consists of Iran, Indonesia, Thailand, and Kyrgyzstan. Group D features South Korea, China, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Vietnam has been placed in Group C alongside Qatar, India, and Hong Kong.

Vietnam's participation in ASIAD 20 will be funded through social contributions from the Vietnam Volleyball Federation. The team aims to perform well at the tournament, with their only international competition before ASIAD being the SEA V.Cup 2026, where they claimed the championship title.

The players are currently training at the National Sports Training Center, preparing to achieve the best possible results at ASIAD 20.
