Chi Dân and Andrea Aybar to Face Court in Major Drug Case
Singer Chi Dân and model Andrea Aybar are set to appear in court as part of a significant drug trafficking

In a recent court session, model An Tay admitted to buying drugs for personal use and for her assistant, Van Anh Duy, as well as another individual, Nguyen Phuong Dong. An Tay acknowledged the charges against her were accurate and not unjust. The hearing took place on August 20, 2024, at the Ho Chi Minh City People's Court, which is currently examining a case involving four flight attendants accused of illegally transporting drugs from France to Vietnam.
During the trial, the court also questioned Nguyen Do Truc Phuong, known as the "charity fairy," and her boyfriend, Vu Hai Anh, who are both charged with organizing illegal drug use. The prosecution revealed that on March 17, 2024, authorities conducted a raid on a house in Thu Duc City, where they discovered ten individuals using drugs, including Truc Phuong and Vu Hai Anh. The police seized various drug paraphernalia and a small quantity of narcotics. Six out of the ten individuals tested positive for drug use.
Truc Phuong explained that she began using drugs in 2021 due to personal issues and health concerns, and admitted to having previously asked a friend to purchase drugs for her. The court learned that she had organized a birthday party where drugs were consumed, leading to the police intervention.
In her testimony, An Tay revealed that since 2020, she has been working as a model and actress in Vietnam and had hired Van Anh Duy as her assistant. She admitted to repeatedly asking Nguyen Phuoc Bao Loc to buy drugs for her, which he obtained from an unidentified source. On multiple occasions, An Tay and Duy used drugs together at her apartment.
At the trial, An Tay faced charges of both organizing illegal drug use and possessing illegal narcotics. She confirmed her actions and stated that she did not feel wronged by the allegations. The court is continuing to investigate the roles of An Tay and her assistant in the drug-related activities.
