In a recent development, ten universities in Northern Vietnam have announced additional admissions for the academic year, with minimum score requirements between 17 and 18 for various programs. This decision follows the release of the 2026 entrance exam results, prompting several institutions to seek more students for in-demand fields such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Semiconductor Engineering.

Hanoi University of Education 2 has stated it will accept nearly 180 students for programs including Psychology, Chemical Engineering, and Applied Mathematics. Candidates can use their results from the university's own exam as well as their graduation exam scores. Applications are open from August 13 to 5 PM on August 20, with results expected to be announced approximately six days later.

Phenikaa University is also expanding its admissions, particularly in its Engineering School, which is looking for students in high-demand areas such as Semiconductor Science and Technology, Smart Materials, and Automation Engineering, with minimum scores of 25, 24, and 22, respectively.

The University of Medicine and Pharmacy is seeking additional students for programs like Medicine, Dentistry, and Medical Laboratory Technology, with minimum scores ranging from 18 to 23. The university will consider five different admission methods, including graduation exam results, direct admissions, and scores from various assessments.

Applications for these programs will be accepted until August 22, with results announced on the same day. Successful candidates will be required to enroll on August 25 and 26.

Additionally, the University of Commerce has announced it will accept 130 students for several programs in collaboration with foreign universities, including E-commerce and Digital Marketing, International Trade, and Human Resource Management. Candidates can apply using their high school transcripts or graduation exam scores, with a minimum requirement of 18.

Hanoi University (HANU) is specifically looking for students for its International Marketing and Financial Management program, with applications open until September 5. General admission criteria include a high school diploma and a minimum average of 7 in the final year, along with an IELTS score of at least 5.5.

The Vietnam Women's Academy still has 67 spots available in Business Administration, Economics, and Game Design and Development, with minimum scores between 17.5 and 18. Candidates may also use their high school transcripts or assessment scores for admission.

CMC University is accepting applications for 19 programs, including Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology, with minimum scores ranging from 17.03 to 20.18. The university has not disclosed detailed quotas or application timelines.

At FPT University, a total of 1,300 students will be accepted for programs in Information Technology, Business Administration, and various language studies. The admission process will combine graduation exam scores and high school transcripts, calculated using a specific formula.

Previously, three schools under the Vietnam National University in Hanoi, including the Vietnam-Japan University, International School, and School of Business Administration, also announced additional admissions for several programs, with minimum scores starting at 19 out of 30.
