Vietnam's Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng has emphasized the need for thorough and strict handling of any irregularities that arise from the 2026 high school graduation exam. During a government meeting held on August 3, he highlighted the importance of public transparency in addressing these issues.

In his remarks, Prime Minister Hưng acknowledged the challenges facing the country, including the need to stabilize the macro-economy while aiming for double-digit growth. He pointed out that the financial and monetary markets are under pressure due to capital, interest rates, and liquidity issues.

As the global situation remains complex and unpredictable, particularly with ongoing conflicts in the Middle East and slowing economic growth in major economies, the Prime Minister called for all ministries and local authorities to adhere closely to resolutions and plans set by the Central Government and the National Assembly.

He urged relevant agencies to focus on drafting and presenting 24 legislative projects during the upcoming extraordinary session of the National Assembly and around 40 projects for the regular session in October 2026. This is part of a broader effort to ensure timely and quality implementation of government directives.

Additionally, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Finance to implement measures that would allow for flexible adjustments to fuel taxes in response to current circumstances, as well as to promote the corporate bond market.

In terms of education, the Prime Minister emphasized the need for the Ministry of Education and Training to prepare adequately for the 2026-2027 academic year, ensuring that the inauguration of new schools coincides with the start of the school year, especially in border areas.

Overall, the Prime Minister's directives reflect a commitment to maintaining integrity in the education system and addressing any misconduct promptly and transparently.
