Iran has declared that it successfully launched missiles that destroyed three U.S. F-35 fighter jets and damaged three others at the Muwaffaq Salti airbase in Jordan. This announcement was made by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on July 30, as a retaliation for a prior U.S. attack on Qeshm Island that killed three individuals.

The IRGC claimed that the missile strike targeted the parking and maintenance facilities for the stealth F-35 aircraft at the Jordanian base. They also reported that several officers and technical staff were killed in the attack. In a video released by the IRGC, missiles and drones were shown heading towards the Muwaffaq Salti airbase.

In addition to the strike in Jordan, the Iranian military also announced attacks on the Ali Al Salem airbase in Kuwait, claiming to have destroyed two hangars for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and a fuel storage tank. Furthermore, Iranian forces targeted U.S. positions at Sheikh Isa airbase in Bahrain, which houses key facilities of the U.S. Fifth Fleet.

However, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) refuted the IRGC's claims, stating that no American aircraft were destroyed or damaged in recent Iranian attacks. They asserted that all missiles and UAVs were intercepted or failed to reach their targets. CENTCOM did not address the casualties mentioned by the IRGC, nor did they comment on the strikes against the bases in Kuwait and Bahrain.

Prior to these events, Jordanian forces reported that they had intercepted five missiles launched from Iran, confirming that the attack did not result in any casualties. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense reported that a worker was injured in an Iranian attack targeting a building owned by a Chinese company in northern Kuwait.

These hostilities have escalated in the region just days after the U.S. and Iran announced a halt to mutual strikes. President Trump stated that the U.S. had ceased airstrikes at Iran's request, although Tehran denied that it had initiated negotiations with Washington. On July 28, the IRGC launched ballistic missiles at U.S. forces stationed in Jordan, prompting President Trump to declare that a strong response would be forthcoming against Iran. Following this, CENTCOM conducted a series of intense strikes on Iran, targeting numerous IRGC facilities, including command centers, missile and UAV sites, and coastal defense locations.

As tensions continue to rise in the region, the implications of these military actions remain a significant concern for international relations.
