Iran has declared that it has successfully targeted and destroyed several U.S. radar and communication systems in the Middle East, asserting that this action has created a 'dark night' for American air defenses in the region. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) made this announcement, stating that their operations have paved the way for future large-scale military actions.

According to the IRGC, the destroyed targets include a missile defense system, a radar unit, and a Patriot missile system located in Bahrain, as well as long-range radar, telecommunications centers, satellite signal reception systems, and an air defense radar in Kuwait. Additionally, they reported the destruction of a hangar and several MQ-9 Reaper drones at the Ali Al Salem military airport.

In a subsequent attack, the IRGC claimed to have destroyed early warning radar, an air defense radar system, the AN/FPS-117 radar, another Patriot system, and satellite communication equipment at the Ahmed Al-Jaber base in Kuwait. The IRGC emphasized that these strikes were aimed at eliminating obstacles to enable precise targeting in future operations.

The Iranian military also launched ground-to-ground missiles and suicide drones targeting Kuwait, aiming at HIMARS rocket systems, administrative buildings, and antennas at the Arifjan base, along with a helicopter parking area at the Al Adiri facility and housing for soldiers at the Ahmed Al-Jaber base.

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), responsible for U.S. military operations in the Middle East, has not commented on these claims. However, CENTCOM announced that it had completed its latest series of strikes against Iran, marking the tenth consecutive day of attacks on Iranian targets. The U.S. forces reported that they had destroyed military command centers, maritime capabilities, missile launch sites, UAVs, and air defense systems to prevent Iran from continuing attacks on commercial vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

Despite a ceasefire agreement reached in mid-June that brought three weeks of peace to the Gulf region, tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz have reignited hostilities in recent days. The Pentagon reported that nearly 100 U.S. service members have been injured over the past two weeks, mostly suffering from mild concussions. Additionally, three U.S. personnel were reported killed during an attack on the Muwaffaq Salti airport on July 17, bringing the total number of U.S. fatalities in the conflict with Iran to 18.

Satellite images have also revealed damage to U.S. bases following the Iranian strikes. According to images released by Iran's Fars News Agency, at least 15 Containerized Housing Units (CHUs) at the Muwaffaq Salti base were completely destroyed, with many surrounding structures also showing signs of damage.
